Born in 2001, Zekkiah J. Hird is from the Kansas City, KS area. Currently creating as an interdisciplinary designer, he is exploring all avenues of creation. Spanning from the digital to physical realm, his specified interests center around visual communication and visual culture. Receiving education from both Ottawa University and recently, the University of Missouri, he has expanded his knowledge of the creative process and more recently brought his pursuits to the area of __________. With a degree in fine arts and art history, he continues creating and expands his knowledge through his work and exploration through new mediums.

Being a collegiate athlete for the past four years has afforded me a unique opportunity to delve into the world of designing athletic wear that not only encapsulates the spirit of various athletic associations and sports teams but also grants me the privilege of exercising my creative freedom. In this role, I've been fortunate to blend the technical requirements of sports apparel with my own artistic vision, allowing me to infuse each piece with a distinctive and personalized touch. This dual experience, balancing the functional demands of athletic wear with the freedom to innovate, has been a truly enriching journey. It has not only honed my skills in marrying aesthetics with performance but has also provided a platform to express my individual creativity within the realm of athletic fashion.

Working through various brands and identities has been crucial to my growth as a graphic artist. This dynamic journey has not only allowed me to refine my technical skills but has also been instrumental in shaping my creative identity. The process of working to expand on something that already exists has pushes me to navigate the delicate balance between innovation and honoring the essence of established brands. It has required a deep understanding of visual language, consumer thought, and brand quality, prompting me to think strategically about how to breathe life into familiar elements while staying true to the values of each brand.
